About Us: Your Specialist Autism Service Provider

  • Our Mission

You matter. We value what makes you different. Our mission as a specialist autism service provider is to understand each person, work alongside families and provide support that builds confidence, independence, wellbeing and meaningful everyday outcomes.

  • Our Vision

To create a service where autistic people are understood, respected and supported to live meaningful lives on their own terms, with dignity, choice, voice and increasing independence at the centre of their support.

  • Our Approach

Robin Specialist Autism Services is grounded in an autism-affirming, person-centred and biopsychosocial approach. We recognise autism as a different way of experiencing and understanding the world, not something to be fixed, but something to be understood and supported.

We work alongside individuals, families and professionals, recognising that the person and those who know them well bring essential knowledge about their life, communication, strengths and needs.

We look at the whole picture, communication, sensory experiences, emotional wellbeing, health, cognition, relationships, environment and everyday functioning, so that support is practical, respectful and genuinely individualised.

Our Commitment:

Dignity

Every person is treated with respect, privacy, and recognised as an individual.

Choice

People are supported to make meaningful decisions about their lives and everyday support.

Voice

We listen to autistic people and, where appropriate, their families and advocates, and act on what they tell us.

Independence

We teach, practise and build skills so that people can do more for themselves wherever this is safe and achievable.

Our Values

Our values as a specialist autism service provider guide how we support people, work with families, develop our staff and make decisions as an organisation. They are not simply words on a page; we expect them to be visible in everyday practice.

Resilience

(Supporting through challenges):

We remain calm, reflective and solution-focused when situations are difficult. We do not give up on people because their needs are complex. We adapt, learn and continue working towards meaningful goals. We also invest in our staff so they have the knowledge, confidence and support needed to remain consistent when challenges arise.

Selflessness

(Putting others First):

We place the dignity, safety and wellbeing of the people we support at the centre of our decisions. We recognise that feeling safe, understood and valued creates the foundation for learning, engagement and positive outcomes. We also support our staff to work sustainably, because people receive better support from staff who feel valued and equipped to do their role well.

Authenticity

(Encouraging your true self):

We are honest, open and consistent in the way we work. We encourage people to be themselves and recognise their interests, strengths, identity and motivations. We work in partnership with individuals and families rather than making decisions around them, and we expect staff to build relationships based on trust, professionalism and respect.

Simplicity

 (Keeping things clear):

We believe support should be understandable and practical. We use clear communication, break learning into achievable steps and reduce unnecessary complexity. Whether we are explaining a change, teaching a new skill or developing a visual support, our aim is to make information accessible and the next step clear.

Our Commitment to Quality:

We aim to provide consistently high-quality, specialist support that reflects each person’s needs, strengths and goals. We monitor outcomes, learn from feedback and incidents, review our practice and continue developing our staff. As Robin grows, we want our values and autism-informed practice to remain visible in every support package.
